Handspun yarn is the ultimate treat. Not only do you get quality product to use for yourself or loved ones, but you are also supporting hard-working farmers around the world. Polwarth sheep were developed in Australia from Lincoln and Merino bloodlines. The result is a long, fine, soft wool that takes dyes well, and its crimp retains warmth and natural elasticity. Adding silk increasing the strength and softness of the yarn. This skein is 2 plies of 70% Polwarth sheep wool and 30% silk, with a total of a hefty 404 yards of fingering-to-DK weight yarn. This is a wintry mix of warm and cozy grays, rust, browns, and seafoam.
