Shetland sheep are a friendly primitive breed of sheep, quite small, very sturdy, and full of personality. They were bred in the Viking age and get their name from the Shetland Isles. Speaking of personaility, this particular skein comes from our very own Cambridge! This skein is 2 plies of Cambridge's Shetland wool, with a total of approximately 218 yards of rustic DK weight yarn. Cambridge does not produce a long staple of wool, but his yarn very springy, somewhat soft, and a beautiful deep brown.
