"Cambridge" - moorit Shetland wool roving | Horse n Round
top of page

Shetland sheep wool is a dual coated wool with light crimp and a soft hand. It usually measures around 23 microns. Like Icelandics, they have a tog (the longer, coarser outer fibers) and a thel (the softer undercoat). Cambridge produces a consistent, soft fleece that's a little on the shorter side with a beautiful silver frost on his brown moorit coloring.

Price is per ounce of fiber. (16 ounces = 1 pound)

Staple length is approximately 2".

For more about Cambridge see his bio page on the blog.
We also have shearing videos! See the 2021 video and the 2022 video.
