Naalbinding (NAHL-bin-ding) is an ancient form of single-needle knitting. Archaeological examples have been found in cultures around the world, including Scandinavian, Egyptian, and the Pacific Islands. It's tricky to get started but easy to master. You can take it with you on vacation or work on it at home with just a large needle and some yarn.
This can be taught for left- or right-handed crafters. Yarn and needle will be provided, and you will receive a printed handout that includes recommendations for further reading.
If you are sensitive or allergic to specific fibers (like wool), please mention this ahead of time so I can make reasonable adjustments.
I have a couple of work lights we can use in class if needed. If you feel you may need magnification, feel free to bring it.
Classes can be held during the day or in the evenings, weekdays or weekends. Please contact me with timing preferences so we can get your class on the calendar.
Classes are best for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
