Learn how to make your own yarn in just 2 hours! We will start on a spindle and with roving and learn some basic terminology, how to use the spindle, how to draft and twist the fiber into yarn. We'll also talk about what to do with the yarn once you've filled a spindle.
 
This class can also be tailored to learn how to use a wheel, if preferred, especially if you have a wheel already and want to learn how to use it. Feel free to contact me to discuss.
 
If you are sensitive or allergic to specific fibers (like wool), please mention this ahead of time so I can make reasonable adjustments!

Tools and supplies required:
A drop spindle
1-2 ounces of roving
 
You may purchase a spindle and fiber here or bring your own. I do have some practice spindles you may use for the duration of the class, but you will still need spinning fiber.
 
I have a couple of work lights we can use in class if needed. If you feel you may need magnification, feel free to bring it.
 
Classes can be held during the day or in the evenings, weekdays or weekends. Please contact me with timing preferences so we can get your class on the calendar.
 
Classes are best for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
